We love this place . The atmosphere is always so inviting and food is delicious. The lump crab sandwich was so good . No fillers like others... drinks are so tasty . Service is always professional and courteous.

Dave is an awesome server. Food here is beyond delicious. I ordered build your own breakfast sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in years and I get catered food every day at work. This place has great decorations of people's artwork that they sell. And it's not overly loud and the food and drinks come out fast. My only regret was not ordering a bloody Mary because as I left, I saw the bartender making them and they looked amazing. I live in California, but I will be back.

The pizza is amazing. The restaurant is very nice. The building looks very cool and is very clean.

We frequent the Mad Batter when we are in Cape May. We really enjoy eating here as I offered delicious food. Offers Gluten free and it is so good. The service is wonderful. Love the Bloody Mary's.

Mad Batter is tucked inside a hotel and is way bigger than you would think from the outside! They don't take reservations for breakfast & lunch but since it's the off season they were able to accommodate my party of 6. They have a big menu and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The vegan and regular wings were both amazing. The crab cake was also delicious. The only downside was that the fries were cold! The service was great and very fast!

This place is nestled between two famous inns in Cape May but was massive inside which I think gave it the charm you want in this town. The wait staff was super nice and attentive. The seating was a little odd in some spots but still comfortable. I got the oven roasted turkey sandwich which came on a croissant and it was pretty tasty. The croissant was what drew me in but it was a standard croissant. The sandwich itself was piled with turkey which was a win and there was Brie, tomato and cranberry cream cheese. Even with all of that though something felt missing from this sandwich. As I saw all the yummy breakfast foods coming out I realized maybe a sandwich was the wrong choice given the name of the restaurant. Regardless it was a solid spot and I would definitely come here again.

Bright,open and airy. Friendly and welcoming Dinner is served with a warm bread basket and dipping oil. Dinner- always my daughter's go to the vegan crab cake platter- comes with vegan Mac and cheese and green beans. On point everytime,, the consistency is just like a crab n cake. regular crab cake sandwich (no bun) with a side salad subbed for the fries. Very good, lots of lump crab. Food took awhile to come out/ they said it was delayed due to the vegan crabcake prep.

July 28, 2024 - 4 for breakfast. I would like to go on and on and rave about this place.......but I am still on a 2.5 week over 6,000 mile driving vacation. (maybe an update to the following) * AWESOME vegan/whole food plant based selection!!! The chick pea vegan "crab cake" sandwich was AWESOME. (I will say make it thinner as it was VERY thick and the sandwich TOO big for my big mouth) * our service at the bar was (especially considering the density and packed seating) was truly exceptional. Matt? was swift, efficient, attentive, and truly world class......and with a few quick chats conversational and answered all my pesky annoying questions about the vegan menu and the whole place!!! * decor and cleanliness awesome. * all the varied food items were cooked to perfection, fresh, and tasty!!! OK enough for now. VERY VERY enjoyable and not tourist rip off expensive. GREAT JOB!!!!

We made a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant is located in the Carroll Villa Hotel which is historic and charming. We had quick and excellent service. I had the corn and crab ravioli which was tasty. My husband had the blackened scallops with mac and cheese which were amazing. We also had a crab cake appetizer which was probably the highlight of the meal. As a beer girl, I loved that there were lots of local beers on tap. Parking was a bit of a struggle, but I always opt to park in the liquor store lot and take a nice little walk through the outdoor mall.
